This is a fun painting that I did in 1996. My friend Patty loved it so much that I gave it to her as a birthday present. She generously allowed me to take a photo of it and I will be doing prints to put on note cards and framed versions. I am personally not a big fan of sunflowers, but these had a lot of personality and it was fun to paint them. I tend to paint in more of an abstract way and so my paintings will never be photo realistic. But I feel that if you want a photo realistic painting... Take A Photo! Painting involves one's feelings and emotions.
